Pritchard Airport Services was established in 1979 by
Ronald E. Pritchard and was the first aviation ground
handling company in American Samoa. In its first year,
Pritchard Airport Service’s workforce of seven served
100 flights in the middle of American Samoa’s peak
period in commercial aviation between 1975 and 1985.
Towards the end of the commercial passenger aviation
period in the late 1980s American Samoa became an ideal
refuelling stopover for cargo carriers due to the low
cost of fuel and landing clearance fees at the time.
During the next three decades
Pritchard Airport Services became agents for Pan
American Airways and Continental Airlines and soon
established itself as the leading supplier of cargo
handling, logistic and aviation services serving all
commercial, cargo, military and private aircrafts of all
types and sizes to American Samoa.
Today Pritchard Airport Services is a proud family run
business owned and managed by Jason Pritchard, son of
the late founder Ronald E. Pritchard who has continued
his father’s legacy in consistently providing superior
aviation ground services, renowned for its high
standards and quality with a reputation of being
American Samoa’s first and longest running established
aviation ground services company.
